Lovely hotel very big complex with use of other hotels in group/complex. We stayed here for 14 days with 2 kids aged 13& 8 . Staff in hotel are very friendly and nice,my youngest daughter caught sun too much even after applying suncream the staff noticed she was in pain and got natural yogurt for her to apply once back to apparen't.
Loved this resort. I only wish it wasn't a 2 hour drive from the airport but otherwise really worth it. Food is excellent in all the restaurants and ground are very well kept. Would return again to Coba or one of the other hotels.
just come over from this stunning hotel , first let me say that I would be very upset if any bad comments is made about this hotel . well were to start arriving there I was amazed with the beautiful lobby , after the check in we went to our room witch nothing to say was clean spacious and all the goodies we expect on a holiday hotel, we stayed in the block 12 closed to the pool, the pool was very nice and the swim up bar was amazing the staff were very friendly. the kukulcan buffet restaurant was absolutely stunning was food for every taste they had different cuisine every day couldn't find nothing wrong any day, the A la carte restaurants all very good the food the service the staff all nothing to complain. the grounds very well maintained, the hotel grounds are very big, but nothing to worrie about the beach was lovely they had always food there around 12 clean water but a bit of rocks in the sea is kids friendly. over all we had a fantastic holiday we strongly recommend this hotel to any body that would like to have a good holiday in this wonderful hotel .
Long but informative (IMHO). This is an extremely large resort. It's our first time in Mexico so it was a bit overwhelming to come to such a large place. BUT.... we managed just fine because all you have to do is ask and most everyone is more that happy to help you. The breakfast buffets and snack bars are a little redundant but I felt the Premier Lobby had the better buffet for breakfast. The beach was just a very short ride on the trolley. It's a very clean and nice beach. We went in the early afternoon so finding shade was next to impossible, but we did. Not directly on the water, but by the time we found it, its was a welcome site! The snack bar there is much better than at Coba. Not sure why, but it just is. More options, warmer food and more attentive service. Pay attention to the birds....they think they are so slick and sneaky, lol!! Our room service was great. Tipped every day. Left some in fridge with a note of what we wanted - the restocking guy came through for us every time. We also left a tip on bathroom counter for the actual housekeeper. It's important to know that most of the time it's two different people. Our room was kept nice and clean. No issues except it was a little musty smelling. I used Downy fabric spray to freshen the room. A/C was good! No complaints there. The only thing I can think of that could have been better was Customer Relations. We arrived mid afternoon and they seemed frustrated and less than happy to be of assistance or answer simple questions. One would say "you can get that answer in the other lobby" and the "other lobby" would say the same about the other. Ok, so that's frustrating as all get out but the worst was emailing 2 weeks ahead of arrival time for a reservation at one of the restaurants. They gave me exactly what I asked for but it was scheduled for AFTER we were scheduled to be gone from the resort and already on our plane back to San Antonio. Huh?? Anyway, when I responded to the email stating that wouldn't work, I was told there weren't anymore reservations available. Checked again upon arrival. Was told the same. Again.... huh??? How can you be COMPLETELY booked for a restaurant 2 weeks in advance? At this rate, the people who wait to arrive before booking the restaurant they REALLY want won't stand a chance. In our case, it was the Mikado Teppanyaki. We got the al la carte section. Food and service were great but you can imagine our disappointment when we were seated in the main restaurant but then saw many empty chairs around the teppanyaki tables. Seriously?? Sure looked and sounded like loads of fun and excitement :(. Anyway, not the fault of our waiter. He was great so we tipped him well. Xplor park was awesome. It's a full day of activities so be prepared to spend the majority of your day there if you book that excursion. It's worth the money to pre- buy your eco-friendly, bio-degradable sunscreen and bug repellent (you will be stopped upon entrance to the park and asked to show them what you have) AND waterproof phone sleeves. On the bus the bug spray is $10 usd , the sunscreen is @$14 usd and the floating waterproof phone sleeve is @$32 usd. CAUTION.....take your phone out of its normal case before inserting it into the waterproof sleeve. If you don't, it's near impossible to get it out and, since you paid @$32 usd for it, you don't want to have to rip it apart to get your phone out AND, you may want to use it again in the future. Overall, great resort, decent snack bars, good restaurants and drinks, BUT.....customer relation reps could use some additional hospitality training. I hope local management can make significant improvements in this area. A couple of these ladies may need to rethink their role of employment at this resort. Hope this is helpful to some. BN ***This would be a 4.5 to 5 on review had a couple of the CR reps been more helpful.
Calling "all inclusive", we were surprised with the daily charge for the safe locker in your room. Then a second disappointment when we found out we need to buy the tickets for the show (Thursday night). K, no rush for the show on the first night, we thought we could enjoy the bar instead but what on earth the bars closed so early every night. The food and drinks were very limited access from beach or pool. I could give a lower rate but the nice landscape, kids water park and friendly employees have saved this resort. I've been in Cancun many times and unfortunately, this was my least enjoyed experience. Last
