Geography

Comprised of 32 islands and cays, St. Vincent and the Grenadines is located between St. Lucia and Grenada in the Lesser Antilles. 

The largest island of the grouping is St. Vincent.  Approximately 133 square miles, St. Vincent has a mountainous interior dominated by the active La Soufriere, a 4,048 ft volcano. The Grenadines stretch for 45 miles south from St. Vincent and include eight inhabited islands: Young Island, Bequia, Union, Mayreau, Mustique, Canouan, Palm Island and Petit St. Vincent. Tobago Cays is a horseshoe shaped reef that shields five deserted islets and is renowned as a sailing and snorkelling mecca

Climate
December to May mark the most popular months to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines as temperatures are comfortable, while June to September are known as the humid season with temperatures reaching an average high of 30°C (86°F).  January to May are considered the driest months, while July is the typically the wettest. Year-round, trade winds provide a welcome breeze on all the islands.

Getting here
The main airport, E.T. Joshua Airport is located on St. Vincent, near the capital of Kingstown and services both international and local flights.

Most flights into St. Vincent and the Grenadines route through another Caribbean island such as Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad, St. Lucia, Martinique and Puerto Rico with connecting flights to Bequia, Canouan, Mustique and Union Island.
