The city of Rome is home to two international airports: Rome Airport Fiumicino and Airport Ciampino.

Charter airline companies such as Air Transat, Sunwing Vacations and Air Canada Vacations customarily put forward the most affordable flights to Rome. Air Transat Vacations, Sunwing Vacations and Air Canada Vacations all operate flight service into Rome Airport Fiumicino from select departure cities in Canada. If your place of departure is not available, connecting flights can be arranged with the help of our travel experts.

Rome Airport Fiumicino or Leonardo da Vinci Airport of Rome, as it is commonly known, is approximately 26 kms southwest of Rome and is linked to the city via rail and road. The Stazione Termini direct train is one of the most convenient ways to get into Rome, with service running hourly from the airport. Transfer via train takes approximately 30 minutes. It is not advised to rent a car in Rome as the city is quite congested with pedestrians and scooters. Parking can be difficult, and in general driving is considered stressful to even the most seasoned drivers. The airport is the largest and busiest in Italy and is ranked the sixth busiest airport in Europe. The airport has a whole host of services for travellers. Convention facilities, conference rooms, banking, coffee shops, restaurants and more than 125 stores selling Italian and International goods add comfort to your pre-flight experience.

Airport Ciampino is located 12 kms south of central Rome. It is most commonly used for regional charter flights but some international flights to arrive and depart from here. The most direct route from Ciampino to Rome is bus. Train service is available from a nearby station, and a shuttle bus from the airport to the train station can be arranged. If you choose to explore other areas of Italy or Europe, you will most likely travel from Ciampino. Ask our travel experts about regional low-cost air carriers and the flight options that are available to some of Italy’s other fantastic cities. Restaurants and bars, banking services, a business centre and shopping boutiques are all available within the terminals for travellers.
