Let It Snow Frequently Asked Questions FAQ

Q. If it does snow on January 1st, 2011 when do I receive my rebate and is the rebate processed on the same method of payment used to complete the initial booking?
A.
The rebate payment shall be made by cheque payable to the Lead Passenger of the invoice and mailed to the address as detailed in the Client Information section on January 24, 2011, or on the Friday following your Departure Date, whichever is later.

Q. Do I receive a FULL rebate on monies spent?
A.
Customers will receive "retail purchase price of the specific product less taxes, fees, service charges and any other fees".

Q. If I purchase travel insurance, do I receive a refund on my insurance?
A.
No.

Q. Why do I have to pay in full by October 31st, 2010 when another competitor states that I have up to 60 days prior to departure to pay in full?
A.
The payment terms are 60 days prior to departure, or October 31, 2010, or by the EBB deadline set up by the supplier, whichever is sooner. If full payment is not received by October 31, 2010 the customer participation in Let it Snow is void. The customer however must still follow itrave2000's regular payment terms or the tour operator early booking bonus payment terms. i.e. If a person purchases a package with a departure date of February 10th 2011he/she must make full payment by October 31st. If he/she purchased an EBB package with a payment deadline of October 1st, he/she must make full payment by this date.

Q.Are there any travel black out dates?
A.There are no black-out or restricted dates. The promotion applies to departure dates from 01 Nov 2010 to 30 Apr 2011 (inclusive).

Q.If I book online or book directly with an agent, do I qualify?
A.Yes, both bookings made on our website and with an agent qualify.

Q.Is there a form I need to fill out that says I am entered into the program?
A.No form, however customers will receive a copy of the Terms and Conditions as part of their Customer Invoice.

Q.Do I receive confirmation that I qualify for the program?
A.Notification of participation in Let It Snow and the applicable weather station will appear on Customer Invoice.

Q.Does this program apply to all passenger types; adults, children?
A.Yes, it applies to all passenger types.

Q.What are the time parameters to measure snow accumulation on January 1st, 2011?
A.6 AM TO 6 AM UTC. (Formerly known as GMT). 10am to 10am Mountain Time, 12am to 12am Eastern Standard Time and 1am to 1am Atlantic Time.

Q.If there are 4 adults listed on one invoice, do the passengers receive 4 separate cheques if indeed it does snow more than 5"?
A.One cheque will be issued for the total rebate amount due to all customers. The cheque will be issued to the lead customer detailed in the customer information section of invoice.

Q.When a customer books a vacation package and satisfies the payment ½ by gift certificate and the other ½ by credit card, are they reimbursed the total gross minus the taxes?
A.Yes, the gift certificate IS effectively cash/credit card.

Q.Someone calls to book a holiday for their mother using their credit card for payment. The cardholder will not be travelling with their mother. Who will receive the rebate? The cardholder or the passenger travelling?
A.The rebate payment shall be made by cheque payable to the Lead Passenger of the invoice and mailed to the address as detailed in the Client Information section.

Q.How many people won their trip for free last year?
A.Due to confidentiality agreement with the underwriter we are unable to supply this information.

Q.If I use my Petro-Points™ to pay for my qualifying vacation and it happens to snow more than 5’’ at my weather station on January 1st , do I receive the rebate on Petro-Points or cash?
A.If Petro Points are used as the only form of payment and if itravel2000 determines that a Weather Condition has been met the rebate payment shall be made by Petro Points. If Petro Points are used as partial form of payment and itravel2000 determines that a Weather Condition has been met the rebate payment shall be made by Petro Points with any balance by cheque.

Q.If I make a booking deposit am I secured to participate in the Let it Snow program?
A.A minimum deposit of $250 ($150 for groups of 10 or more with qualifying suppliers) $300 for Transat Holidays & Nolitours is required to secure participation in the program. However if a full payment is not made 60 days prior to departure, or by October 31st or by the Early Booking Bonus deadline set up by the supplier, this participation will be void.
