During our stay we will make a permanent improvement in the health, comfort and standard of living of people in Peru while experiencing the daily life, culture and lifestyle of people in this rural community. We hike to the home of our local host family and help build a Peruvian cooking stove with plenty of time to relax and explore. Benefits of the stove include the removal of smoke from the kitchen, a 50% decrease of wood usage and the reduction of eye and lung infections especially among women and children. No building experience is required.

Cross the challenging 4440m Condor Pass, with stunning views of Mount Veronica (5750m,) then descend to beautiful Ipsaycocha Lake, our last campsite. On the last day, follow trek downhill past lookouts of Patacancha. Take the train to Aguas Calientes, where we spend the night.
Day 16 Machu Picchu / Cuzco
Catch an early morning bus to Machu Picchu for an early morning view of the lost city of the Incas. Enjoy a guided tour and free time in the ruins before catching a train back to Cuzco.

Enjoy the many sites and activities of Cuzco on this free day.
Day 18-20 Amazon Jungle (2B, 2L, 2D)
Fly to Puerto Maldonado, in the Amazon lowlands. Travel by motorized canoe to our lodge in the Tambopata rainforest. Explore the jungle with local guides before flying to Lima.

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro
Explore the famous sandy beaches of Rio on this free day, or take in breathtaking views from the ‘Christ the Redeemer’ statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Day 3-4 Paraty
Head down the beautiful 'Costa Verde’ to the town of Paraty, considered one of the world's best examples of Portuguese colonial architecture. Spend the afternoon exploring the cobblestone streets and cafés, go island hopping from beach to beach in the Ilha Grande Bay, go snorkelling, or dine on fresh seafood.
Day 5-8 Iguassu Falls - Night Bus
Depart Paraty in the morning and head to Sao Paolo before boarding a night bus to Iguassu Falls. Explore this tri-border region where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet at the junction of the Parana and Iguazu rivers. The falls themselves are comprised of 275 separate waterfalls over a 3 km area, with some over 80m (262.4 ft) in height. Spend the next two days exploring both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides of the falls. Incredible options include a Zodiac cruise into the heart of the falls or an up-close look at the falls by taking a motor boat right to the base of some of the falls. Night bus to Bonito, arriving around breakfast time on Day 9.
Day 9-10 Bonito
Bonito is an outdoor lover's dream. Some of the many options here include snorkelling down the Rio de la Prata, swimming in lagoons or visiting macaw nesting spots.
Day 11-13 Pantanal (3B, 3L, 3D)
Explore the Pantanal, an immense wetland area famed for its abundant wildlife. Marvel at macaws, Jabiru storks, giant otters, anteaters, caimans and countless other species of fauna. Accommodation is basic as we stay in a large tent and sleep in hammocks.
Day 14 Rio de Janeiro
After transferring to Campo Grande, we fly to Rio for one last night in paradise.

Day 2-3 Bariloche
On Day 2 we fly to Bariloche. A popular resort town for Argentines, the spectacular surroundings of Bariloche offer a multitude of outdoor options. Enjoy a lake cruise as we visit the Blest Arm of Lake Nahuel Huapi.
Day 4-5 Puerto Varas
Today we travel overland passing over the Andes and through many of the same areas as the popular lake crossing excursion. Our destination is Puerto Varas located in the beautiful Lake District of Chile, where you will be able to hike through the Petrohue region in the hills surrounding Osorno Volcano. Optional activities include an excursion to the lakeside village of Frutillar.
Day 6-7 Santiago
Spend the day enjoying some great Chilean wine as we tour different wineries in the Maipo Valley, taking in the history of the vineyards and learning about the art of wine making.
Day 8 Depart Santiago
